It’s Spring Break. Can you guess what it isn’t?

spring.
For me, spring break means time to get to work – yearbook, specifically, plus math, piano. sketchbook. A few other things here and there. It’ll be okay, if I can get through the yearbook. The rest, hopefully, will feel much easier after that.

Not that there isn’t room for a little spring break. I had a wonderfully relaxing weekend, and actually didn’t think about school more than… four or five times, at the most.

Songs I haven’t heard in some time have been coming back to me lately. Rapture by Blondie is one of them. Old Man by Neil Young is another (Just thirty-second clips… sorry). It’s funny how it can be so long since I’ve heard something, and it will just come to me without any sort of prompt.

I’ve developed a weakness for hot chai tea. I’ve learned lots of piano scales, and I’m working on minor scales now – that’s pretty exciting for me. I’ve also discovered how much I like drawing with ink pens.

Though it isn’t much of an update, life has been pretty exciting lately. Fast paced, anyway, if nothing else. I have a feeling things won’t slow down until the end of the semester, and probably not for long after that, but that’s okay. I’m enjoying the excitement.

listening to old tapes of dad’s old bands playing old songs. i like them.
